Welcome to St. Matthew's Anglican Church!

We extend a warm welcome to you, whether you already know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and are looking for a church home - or if you would like to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures and the Christian faith.

Our work with children and teenagers is of crucial importance to us. We pray that by providing a firm foundation of Christian education, our youngest members will each make a life-long commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, become rooted and grounded in the faith, and develop a growing love for - and knowledge of - the Bible.

Our goal is to know Christ and to make him known, through expository Bible teaching, liturgical worship and prayer, with a commitment to discipleship, evangelism, mission and fellowship.

We are now studying Paul's letter to the Ephesians.

"This letter summarizes what it means to be a Christian better than any other book of the Bible. It clarifies the heart of the Christian faith, explores the dynamics of a personal relationship with Christ, sets forth God's overall plan for the church, and draws out the implications of what it means to live as a Christian." (Clinton E. Arnold)

Please join us on Sunday morning as we learn from this great book!

We are:

All sinners:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)

Forgiven:
"...and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:24)

Christ-centered:
Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Spirit-filled:
"Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." (Galatians 5:25)

Bible-based:
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16)

A family:
Jesus said "'By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)

Prayerful:
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Reaching Out:
Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." (Matthew 28:19)

I bow before the cross of Christ
And marvel at this love divine;
God's perfect Son was sacrificed
To make me righteous in God's eyes.
This river's depths I cannot know,
But I can glory in its flood.
The Lord most high has bowed down low
And poured on me His glorious love,
And poured on me His glorious love.

(Charitie L. Bancroft, 1841-92)
