Welcome to St. Matthew's Anglican Church!

We extend a warm welcome to you, whether you already know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and are looking for a church home - or if you would like to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures and the Christian faith.

Our work with children and teenagers is of crucial importance to us. We pray that by providing a firm foundation of Christian education, our youngest members will each make a life-long commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, become rooted and grounded in the faith, and develop a growing love for - and knowledge of - the Bible.

Our goal is to know Christ and to make him known, through expository Bible teaching, liturgical worship and prayer, with a commitment to discipleship, evangelism, mission and fellowship.

We are now studying the book of Acts

God inspired four people to write about Jesus' life, death and resurrection, but only Luke was inspired to write a sequel! His second book - Acts - begins with Jesus' ascension to heaven. Luke then describes the dramatic pouring out of the Holy Spirit; what life was like for those first believers in Jesus; the shocking conversion of Christianity's great foe - and Paul's work to make the Good News of Jesus Christ known throughout the world.

The book of Acts is a fascinating history and a riveting adventure, but chiefly it reveals God's message - and his method of spreading it. This is why Acts is so valuable to the church today, even though nearly two thousand years have passed since it was written. We need to hear the gospel message afresh and we need to learn again how it is spread.

Please join us on Sunday mornings as we learn from this amazing book - and please pray that we will grow in confidence as we learn what God's Holy Spirit can do with God's word in the lives of ordinary people who are created in God's image.

We are:

All sinners:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)

Forgiven:
"...and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:24)

Christ-centered:
Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Spirit-filled:
"Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." (Galatians 5:25)

Bible-based:
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16)

A family:
Jesus said "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)

Prayerful:
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Reaching Out:
Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." (Matthew 28:19)

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior's blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain-
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
