The Wicks Organ

In 2007, Art and Terri Thompson donated an organ from the Wicks Organ Company to our church. When we decided to join the Anglican Church in North America, we had to move the organ to storage. It was then moved to Trinity Lutheran church at 5520 NE Killingsworth St, Portland, OR. We paid for the deconstruction and installation, and we got volunteers to move the parts itself. It has remained at that location since 2010. Now we have the opportunity to move the organ to our current location at Faithful Savior Church, and we would like to be able to do so by Pentecost, May 23rd. In order to help facilitate this move, we are asking for contributions towards the cost. The current estimate to move the organ is $5000. If you would like to help us in this move, please send a check to our P.O. Box and indicate that it’s for the organ. You can also donate in person, or contribute via the “donate” button on the side of this page. We are excited to be blessed once again by this wonderful instrument!

We are proposing putting the organ in the back of the Nave, on the brick wall side. Doing so would mean we need to remove 3 of the pews, and so we are also suggesting the removal of 3 pews on the window side, which would be replaced with chairs to accommodate the choir. We currently have some chairs that will work, but we would also like to purchase new chairs to fit the space which would cost around $350.
